Seattle Travel & Food Day 4: Last day!

Hello friends!

Here is the last segment of my Washington Travel & Food trip! Enjoy! :)

Instead of bright and early, we woke up dark and early (sun was still hidden!) to catch our Amtrak from Bellingham to Seattle. Thanks for great times B-ham! Here's some media of the gorgeous scenery we passed by during our train ride:

Bellingham Travel & Food Day 1 and 2

Day 1

Today, our friend Julie picked us up from our Airbnb location and drove us to her beautiful home in Bellingham, WA. After about 1.5 hours of driving, we fueled up on brunch at Homeskillet! Homeskillet is probably one of the best places I've ever eaten brunch. They also get brownie points for their cool restaurant vibe and scary clown bathroom (Don't worry, I won't show you the bathroom to save you from the horror...or awesomeness if you like clowns.)

Seattle Travel & Food Day 3

Hello hello!

Reporting Seattle Day 3 here! Hungry and carless, but still foodie-oriented, we embarked on a 35 minute walk to Portage Bay Cafe & Catering, which serves delicious brunch food!
Cool graffiti on our walk!

Seattle Travel & Food Day 2

Hello hello!

I hope you are all well-rested and enjoying the merriments of life! :) Here's our Day 2 adventures. Enjoy!

We began Day 2 by visiting the recently opened Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room. It's basically a smaller Willy Wonka factory, for coffee, but unfortunately, no Oompa Loompas. Because the beans are of "high-quality," coffee here can get pretty pricey. Since I'm a foodie, I had to taste their coffee! My tall mocha was $6 after tax; I enjoyed it because it tasted just like 90% dark chocolate. Yummmmmmmmmm. One disappointment was that all the cacao flavors were clumped at the bottom of the cup. In conclusion, Philz Coffee in the bay is 100000000000000% better than this place. The scene/vibe is pretty cool to check out though.

Seattle Travel & Food Day 1

Hey guys! :)

Yesterday I landed in The Evergreen State (aka Washington)! My best friends (Manisha & PJ) and I decided to take a mini-vacay since we have a month-long winter break and to visit a longtime friend. Let the adventures begin!

After landing, we had difficulty finding our baggage and then we had trouble figuring out how to get to Seattle from the airport but eventually everything worked out well. (Thank you for the existence of public transportation and Uber!) Our Airbnb location is gorgeous!

Happy New Year lovelies!!! :)

I hope your new year is starting off well and is filled with joy! During 2014, I would like to reflect on all the fun adventures I went on, all the delicious food I cooked, and all the wonderful time I spent with amazing people. For 2015, I want to stay true to these three resolutions:
  • Grow physically and mentally stronger
I love working on different muscles groups, gaining flexibility, and learning various exercises. My favorite parts are physically seeing my body get stronger and noticing how heavy objects feel lighter. There will never be a time in which I stop learning. Living means constantly gaining new experiences, new relationships, new visions, and new knowledge in general. Thus, to live is to grow stronger every day whether it may be learning to cook a new dish or running a faster mile.
  • Be aware of others' hardships and give a helping hand
Sometimes I am clouded with emotions that I forget to consider the feelings of others. This year, whether I am consumed with self-pity or zealous joy, I will become more considerate of others because what do I know of their situation? I will be more aware to put myself in another's shoes and give when I can give.
  • Work hard for what I love
When I am passionate about something, I will go for it! As the popular saying goes, "closed mouths don't get fed." Some of my goals for this year are studying nutrition & fitness, updating Ma Nutrition, improving my writing skills, and building a stronger mind & body.
This time of year is a great time to reflect and start fresh! Figure out what's important to you and make time for it. You can't rewind time, so don't waste it. Do what you love! <3

Alrighty, let's get started on today's 3-course menu! :)
